Dermatitis is inflammation of the skin. There are many types of dermatitis including atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and dermatitis herpetiformis.
Some of the main symptoms of dermatitis include dry, red, and itchy skin. Many different causes can lead to dermatitis, such as an allergic reaction to skin products or genetic predisposition.
Dermatitis can occur at any point in life, and may be outgrown as well. Dermatologic treatment is helpful in reducing irritation and spreading of dermatitis.
